These filters last longer!

We run two humidifiers all year round here--it's dry in the desert--and these filters are MUCH better than the reg ones. It's worth a little more to get these. That blue stuff on the outside helps them last longer and filter the air better.

I don't even know why they still make the non-airwashing filters. These Honeywell HAC-504 Replacement Filter for Honeywell Humidifiers really do take a lot of the dust out the air, but more importantly these filters holdup a lot longer than the HONEYWELL/ENVIRACAIRE HAC-504 Replacement Filter Pad ones do, and they really aren't that much more expensive. These filters are mislisted though, their real part number is HAC-504AW, the "AW" is for "Air Washing", because for the blue layer of filter material.

The Filter is Great. Better to get filter replacements, not new humidifiers all the time

It drives me crazy that stores sell humidifiers but usually not filter replacements. Do they think we're going to buy a new humidifier every time we need a new filter? I like being able to buy whatever filter I need at Amazon.

These filters are heavier duty than ones I previously used in other humdifiers. This is my second winter using the current humidifiers. I bought 4 of the same model all at once just so that I would only have to get one type of filter. This turned out to be a good idea and my home has decent humidity in winter.

In this purchase, I got ten filters and they arrived all at once, each in its own box. Since these are great filters, I think they are worth the price.

The main thing is if you have a humidifier requiring filters to get a good supply and be able to change them as needed. I think these filters would cost more in a store since the stores want to sell a new humidifier rather than keep you supplied with filter for the humdifiers that they have sold in the past couple of years.

Remember to keep the blue side facing out! (I made that mistake once.)

This is a better filter than the ones that come in the box with the humidifier. The extra dust filter (the blue part) makes a big difference in the life of the filter.

A pretty good humidifier pad that can be washed, to reduce hardwater buildup, and reused several times. However the glue joint weakens and disolves in hot water used to refurbish the filter. Be careful while washing for reuse.

Does what it is supposed to do

Works as it should. However, if not used in conjunction with a cleaning cartridge you will be changing this filter quite often as it will definitely mold up quickly.

An Ok filter

My filter when it first arrived had this little plastic handle part on it and I didn't know if you were supposed to cut it off or what, so I cut mine off. Then, when I went to wet the filter, I noticed that it does not stay together very well at the seam, so maybe the plastic handle part serves a purpose to keep it together. So if you do order this filter, keep the plastic part on, unless you have better luck than I do keeping that sucker together without it on. Other than all the BS above, it's an all around good filter.

Humidifier Filter

The Honeywell humidifier filter arrived 8 days after purchase and was immediately installed and used. It is performing well on a daily basis and absorbs much more water than its predecessor. I am very pleased with both the price and the product, thus would recommend this to others.
